Our response to COVID-19
Hi Church,
We want to keep you up-to-date with developments that are happening in relation to COVID-19 and the changes that will be occurring with Zion Church to ensure that we are following all necessary guidelines to prioritise your health and safety. As of 29 March 2020 we will be launching Zion HOMEZ as our new way of meeting as a church during this time. Each week we will be going on Facebook Live at 10am. We would so much rather be face to face with you, but we need to honour the current guidelines in this challenging season. The early church in Acts 2 thrived in a house church movement, so we truly believe that we can see Jesus lifted high in HOMEZ across our community. At Zion Church, we do not want any member to feel alone or isolated during this time. You are a part of a church family who care and want to support you. Therefore, we are launching a number of pastoral care initiatives that will help you stay connected during this time.
Connect Team
We have a wonderful team thats primary purpose is to help you stay connected. Our connect team will call you and message you and just try to stay close to you in this new season. If there is one thing we need to purposely pursue, is staying close to one another socially. We hear the term socially distant, and by all means we want to honour guidelines set out by the health department and government, but let us remain close to each other.
Pastoral Care Team
As well as our connect team, we have our 'Pastoral Care Team’. Their role is to make sure they are providing the right pastoral care to you. We have launched our Prayer and Pastoral Care Line. The number is 0459 322 750. If you are feeling anxious, worried or just need someone to talk to and pray with, this number is available for you to call or text. If you have a need, whether it be emotional, physical or practical, we want to support you, so please don’t hesitate to contact this number or send us an email info@zionchurch.com.au
